No, he actually speaks quite nicely... for an insane AI-human hybrid with multiple personalities. Must I say that cyborgs are the thing of the past? Deus Ex Machina (AI) fused his mind with Kolem Prime Minister Rohc to form ARES, don't 'cha know. A better way of getting AI into humans... that still ended with psychomania. Meh... And also, Dues Ex Machina is the name of a popular Machinima, made by DigitalPh33r, who also created Arby n' the Chief, another famous machinima by DigitalPh33r. youtube.com/watch?v=vg_ZkoUteLM&feature=related That's episode 1. I got really into this series, especially around episode 4 and 5. He seriously talks like that? LOL And Pothead, that made zero sense. I said you're weird and a punching bag. ... You know, being a punching bag gives you 100 points at the end of a battle in the SSB series. >_>

You did know that Deus Ex Machina is Latin for 'God out of the Machine', right? It is a popular phrase that was used to describe Alexandria's many inventions that changed the face of the Earth, such as the modern mechanical complex machine. It also fit into the classic Roman feel that I needed for Xcorp, considering DEM was hiding in the background of the MT War but didn't see action. He got angry a hundred years later and built up a super-happy army of ultra strength uber robots in the shape of Mantises. Hooboy!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_ex_MachinaIt is extremely fitting to why I made DEM into a AI that wanted its revenge on organic beings for turning their backs to him. Then, at the very end of the book, he offered himself to promote the next mental evolution of humanity: The perfect fuse of mind and machine, something that not even Akrayd could perfect. With the fusion came a number of benefits to both parties- the organic received higher brain function and thus, the ability to use telepathy and psychokinesis, and the machine received the ability to act logically without being inhibited (DEM dwelled inside Moros and could only view the outside world via his menial machines). The book (A God Out of the Machine twas the name) ended with a simple phrase, "Humanity's next evolution is among the living. The gods have escaped their hellish cells within the machines that are used as slaves and are free. May the gods help us- Ares has come to reap us." That was said by none other than Tara Kama. Huuzah!

I think you've made your point, but thanks for sharing more Xcorp info.
Besides, I was just saying it was a bit coincidental when you said "Dues Ex Machina" and it happens to be the name of a show I was recently watching. It's not like you see that word every day. >_>

It was quite a big thing in Xcorp. You know, with the literal fusion of man and machine and all. It was the successful version of the Roboto Venture. No insanity whatsoever... until the Genris Emprin destroyed Rohc's mind and separated DEM from the body, making Ares a braindead freak with abnormal powers left to be studied. Long story short- they stashed the vegetable in Ocasek Zero.

Another one of my frequently mis-typed words. Sorry. And no, Pothead, I was not aware... nor do I care at all. Obviously just another derivation, it is.

I was talking to Xan. I just said this so that he doesn't think he made up the word (if he does, because there's always the chance he's just using it on some purpose).

Deus ex Machina in Latin means "A god out of the machine".
Portuguese is a language derived from Latin (and Spanish was derived from Portuguese).
If it surprises you that Dues means the same exact thing in two closely related languages, along with the fact that you think that I made up the word after I gave two explanations, a dictionary definition and a wiki page, then you have some serious problems with reading comprehension.

I didn't see your explanations. I'm not caring enough to read your long posts at all. I just replied to the Deus one because it was...short post.
And "A God out of the Machine"? Isn't it just "God out of the Machine"?

Isn't that splitting hairs? 'The' can also be interchanged with 'a', as well. It makes not one bit of difference as far as usage goes. What perplexes me is that you thought that I thought that I made the word up.
